40 Weeks

So, my due date came and went with no sign of her. I did have my NST on Monday and we both are healthy. In fact, she slept for the entire test despite the doctors attempts to wake her up. Which included banging two spoons together on my belly (very weird) and having me down a coke in about 2 seconds. Of course she woke up the minute we got in the car. I go back to have another NST tomorrow (12/31) and set my induction date. The doctor would really like for her to come out herself, but at this point we might have to go in and get her.

39 Weeks

There are really no updates this week. I go back to the doctor next week for a NST (non-stress test) which is normal for anyone that goes past their due date. I still feel good and just semi-patiently waiting for her to get here.

38 Weeks

I can't believe there is only 2 weeks left! She is fully developed now and the doctor says she probably weighs in between 6 and 7 lbs. Her head is down, but still no dilation or effacement, which really doesn't mean much. I think she is starting to "drop" but it is hard to tell from this angle. The swelling is seriously starting to kick in! What used to be my legs now look like stuffed sausages!! We still have a couple of things to do before she gets here, but for the most part we are ready!

37 Weeks

Everything went good at this weeks appointment. My iron is still low, but I am taking supplements and eating a more iron-rich diet. She still "pushes" around a lot in there, but no contractions or signs of labor yet. I am feeling good and anxiously awaiting her arrival!

And her name is.......

Kinley Reese Donaldson

36 Weeks

At this point, I start going to the doctor every week. This week is the first time they check to see if I am dilated and if the baby has dropped. And....she is still high and I am not dilated at all! That can change pretty quickly so, it's not a big deal. However, I am starting to think she may not come early.

Thanksgiving was really good this year, as usual. Glenda came in town and Lenny and Berlyn came over for dinner. The food was awesome and we have enough leftovers to last us through the week!

35 Weeks

With only 5 weeks left, I am getting pretty nervous. More about WHERE I will go into labor than anything else... We went and toured the hospital this weekend with the Carmichaels. It is really nice, but of course they will be doing construction to the Women's center starting Dec 9th and the parking and entry will be totally different. With Trey's parking anxiety, this may pose a small problem come delivery day :) Other than that everything is still good. My belly is getting HUGE and I feel her move all the time. Now it is more of a push instead of a kick!

34 weeks

At the doctors appointment this week we discussed the birth plan and I signed all the consent forms for the hospital. With only 6 weeks to go, they suggested I start getting my overnight bag ready. My iron was a little low, but they said that is normal towards the end of pregnancy and eating foods that are high in iron should take care of it.

I had a shower this past weekend and it was awesome! Amy and Maddie came down from Utah, Aunt Sharon came from Charleston, Phyllis and Bobbie came from Florida, and lots of my other friends traveled WAY outside the perimeter! We got lots of good stuff including the car seat and stroller!

Nursery!!

Here are some pictures of the nursery. It is still a work in progess, but this is what we have so far...

Trey put most of this stuff on her shelf. A pink nike football and a gator...

This is the infamous rocker! It only took every weekend in October to complete :)

32 weeks

We took these pictures in the nursery. It is really starting to come together! Everything is still going great. I had my first Braxton Hicks contraction this week. I was walking from the office to my car and it felt like she jumped and my whole stomach tightened. It was a very strange feeling and the only one I have had so far.

31 Weeks

At 31 weeks I am still feeling good. Sleeping is getting a little difficult, but I am going to bed early to make up for my 3 to 4 night time trips to the bathroom. :) I finished my rocker this week! Leigh Ann and I got done painting and Lenny and I made the cushions. There was even some left over material to make Hogan a new blankie!

30 Weeks

I can't believe I only have 10 weeks left! This week was my last monthly doctors appointment..it's every two weeks from here on out. He said she is still measuring perfect and my due date is still Christmas Eve.

This week we finished painting the nursery and put the crib together. I still have a lot of decorating to do before the room is complete.
Emily and I went to a birthing class on Tuesday. We learned alot about L & D and some calming techniques that are suppose to help during delivery. We also learned that our husbands think Birth is "fun"....

I had my first baby shower on Saturday! It was PERFECT! Everything was so nice and little miss got some great stuff! The girls did an incredible job, and I couldn't have asked for anything better.

29 Weeks!

This week has been crazy! We have definitely made some progress with "lil miss's" room! Everything is out of the old office and Amber and I starting painting the nursery! The name of the paint is hush pink...hopefully she will find it peaceful. Leigh Ann and I also starting re-finishing our rockers. We did all the sanding and should be painting by Thursday!

This weekend is my shower and I am so excited....it is going to be so much fun!

28 Weeks - Third Trimester

I am officially in my last trimester!! Only 12 weeks to go! Lil Miss has been very active this week...I actually could see her moving! I found out this week that I passed my gestational diabetes test, which is a big relief.

27 weeks

I am still feeling good and feeling her move everyday. We bought her crib and crib bedding this week, but are still working on getting her nursery ready. I would say I am definitely starting to nest!

Baby's First Concert

Little Miss attended her first concert last week with Megan and me - Brad Paisley! Even though we had to stay up late she had a great time!

25 Weeks

This week Lenny and I registered for "lil miss" at Babies-r-us. We picked out lots of good stuff for her!! I also went with some friends to 3 consignment sales this week and got some really cute clothes.
I am having a little trouble sleeping this week; mostly because it is hard to get comfortable. I have a feeling this is only going to get worse :( Other than that, I am still feeling really good.

24 Weeks

This week Trey got to feel her move. She is very active especially at night when I want to go to sleep. :) I am still feeling good everyday and have a very healthy appetite!

23 Weeks

These are the 23 week pictures. I feel really big this week and have to wear all maternity clothes. I am still feeling good everyday, except for that one night at the Japanese steakhouse (sorry, kim). This week I have actually starting getting stuff out of the office so we can paint the nursery, hopefully that will happen in the next couple of weeks. No new cravings..just anything salty!

22 Weeks

These are the 22 week pictures. Everything is still great! All of the genetic test came back negative, which is a big relief. I am still feeling her move everyday and my belly is really starting to show!

20 Weeks! - Halfway There!

Yay...Halfway there!! These are our 20 week pictures. We did our ultrasound this week, everthing looked great and we confirmed she is a "she." I am feeling her move more and more everyday. I am still feeling really good and I think Trey and I are going to start working on the nursery this month.

20 week Ultrasound

We got to see her again on August 6th. She measured 15.2 cm and weighed 11 ounces..right on schedule. Trey's mom went with us and got to see her and hear her heart beat (which was 129 bpm). This might be our last ultrasound unless we get one more in the third trimester. She looks great and is still measuring a couple days early!

The Rocking Chair

This rocking chair was Trey's moms when she was little. Her and Berlyn stripped it and re-painted it for "little miss". Not only is it absolutely adorable, but it will match her nursery perfectly. I can't wait to see her in it!

19 Weeks

These are the 19 weeks pictures. I am still feeling her move everyday and feel like I am gaining weight by the second. Trey has been really good at getting me YooHoo's, Rootbeer, and Ravoli (not all together, but I probably could!)

18 Weeks

These are the pictures from 18 weeks. Each week Trey takes a picture of me and then I take a picture of him and Hogan. This way everyone can be involved :)

I felt her move for the first time on 07/25/2008 during my 18th week (I believe it was 18 weeks and 3 days!) I am still feeling good, a little tired but I haven't had any sickness, which is always positive. My doctors appointment went great, she checked out perfectly! I can't wait to see her again on August 6th at our next ultrasound!

And Six Weeks Later...

Her waving at us during the U/S!
This is her sucking her thumb..

At 16 weeks our friend Brandi let us sneak in to her office to see if we could find out the sex! Our little miss did cooperate and we found out on 07/09/08 that the next addition to the Donaldson family would be a little girl. Trey and I are so excited! We have already bought her a couple of things...of course Trey bought a pink Atlanta Braves onies. Here she is at 16 weeks.
