She's Finally Here!!

Miss Kinley Reese was born on January 4th, 2009 at 4:58 am. After 17 hours of labor she finally made her grand appearance! She weighed 6 lbs 12 oz and was 20 inches long. She is absolutely adorable and a very good baby.

40 Weeks

So, my due date came and went with no sign of her. I did have my NST on Monday and we both are healthy. In fact, she slept for the entire test despite the doctors attempts to wake her up. Which included banging two spoons together on my belly (very weird) and having me down a coke in about 2 seconds. Of course she woke up the minute we got in the car. I go back to have another NST tomorrow (12/31) and set my induction date. The doctor would really like for her to come out herself, but at this point we might have to go in and get her.

39 Weeks

There are really no updates this week. I go back to the doctor next week for a NST (non-stress test) which is normal for anyone that goes past their due date. I still feel good and just semi-patiently waiting for her to get here.

38 Weeks

I can't believe there is only 2 weeks left! She is fully developed now and the doctor says she probably weighs in between 6 and 7 lbs. Her head is down, but still no dilation or effacement, which really doesn't mean much. I think she is starting to "drop" but it is hard to tell from this angle. The swelling is seriously starting to kick in! What used to be my legs now look like stuffed sausages!! We still have a couple of things to do before she gets here, but for the most part we are ready!

37 Weeks

Everything went good at this weeks appointment. My iron is still low, but I am taking supplements and eating a more iron-rich diet. She still "pushes" around a lot in there, but no contractions or signs of labor yet. I am feeling good and anxiously awaiting her arrival!
